Sports: Chicago Sky
Chicago Sky: A new era, built from the ground up.
The Stakes
After a record-breaking season, the Chicago Sky wanted to evolve its identity. They needed a creative platform that matched their team’s heart and their city’s spirit. This was about building a lasting brand.
The Friction
The team had momentum, but no clear narrative. Campaigns felt disconnected from the grit and drive that define both the Sky and Chicago. Even intro videos didn’t land. They lacked energy, emotion, and authenticity. Players and fans were ready for something real.
The Shift
BarkleyOKRP launched “We Go Sky High,” a platform rooted in work ethic, ambition, and hometown pride. The hype film brought together Sky players, real community leaders, South Side director Rodney Lucas and a custom footwork track from Yessain. Chicago showed up in every frame. For the 2025 intro video, we scaled the idea. Players appeared above the skyline, casting massive shadows over the city, paired with a raw Def Jam track from viral duo Party of Two.
The Lift
The response was instant. Party of Two performed live at halftime. Ravyn Lenae and Doechii showed up courtside. The intro video lit up social and gave the Sky a launch that matched their 20th season. The campaign reflected the team’s ambition and became part of the city’s cultural fabric.
